Dr. Lowrey was a valued member of the SDSU Mechanical Engineering Faculty and was one of the leading researchers in solar energy. His work on the "Solar Pond" has been influential for the solar energy feild advancement at SDSU. His unfortunate passing is still being remembered at SDSU.
